Isambard Kingdom Brunel Primary School (IKB) is committed to working with parents and in doing so the welfare of the child is our paramount consideration. We treat all parents equally. If a non-resident parent would like to receive information about their child from the school, they should contact the administration staff in the school office. Examples of types of information which can be shared are: school newsletters, trip letters, clubs information, attendance data, school reports, school photographs.

Resident and non-resident parents can vote in elections for parent governors, be asked to give consent e.g. to the child taking part in school trips, and should be informed about meetings involving the child e.g. parents’ evenings. IKB is committed to follow its legal duty as outlined in the DfE non statutory guidance document: Understanding and dealing with issues relating to parental responsibility:
